Elvina McCauley
Founder & Principal, Venterra Growth
Elvina is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience leading finance, accounting, and operations for startups and high-growth companies.
She began her career in the Big 4 advising private enterprises on audits, controls, and reporting, before moving into the venture ecosystem at Science Inc., where she supported a portfolio of early-stage and rapidly scaling companies with accounting, unit economics, financial modeling, cash management, and mergers & acquisitions.
Elvina then spent nearly a decade at Tastemade, where she built the finance function from the ground up—progressing from Controller to Head of Finance and ultimately serving as CFO. During her tenure, she implemented global systems, scaled operations from the U.S. into Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the U.K., and led the company through its successful acquisition by Wonder Group. Along the way, she managed complex stakeholder relationships with banks, auditors, and investors, balancing lean resources with industry best practices and technology.
Today, as Founder & Principal of Venterra Growth, Elvina brings this depth of experience to climate startups, regenerative ventures, and nonprofits—helping mission-driven leaders strengthen financial clarity, resilience, and impact.
